Build Your Own Ice Cream Cone (ELC #520 - Using Variables to Personalize E-Learning)

For this challenge, I created a simulated self-service kiosk where users can build their own customized ice cream cone. Using variables and object states, the module tracks user choices (base, flavor, scoops, and toppings) and generates a personalized order summary at the end.

Software Used

Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Illustrator

Highlights

  • Except for the intro screen, the entire experience was built on a single slide in Storyline.

  • Variables and custom states power the personalized ice cream order.

  • Users can freely navigate back and forth between choices without running into errors.

  • The design can be extended further - for example, by letting users pick different flavors for each scoop.

  • Intro screen sound effects were generated using Articulate’s AI features!
